Description:

Diaethria Anna
Anna's Eighty-eight (Diaethria anna) is a butterfly in wet tropical forests in Central America and South America. On rare occasions, it can be found as a stray in south Texas. Its upperside is dark brown with a metallic bluish-green band on the forewings. The underside of the forewings are red, which is followed by a wide, black band and then white tips; the underside of the hindwings is white, with lines that approximate a black-outlined "88," giving the species its common name.

Silver-studded Blue Butterfly
named due to the silvery blue metallic spots on the underside hind wings. The upperside are a rich, deep iridescent blue in the males with a black border and the characteristic Lycid white fringe. on the hindwings there is a row of inconspicuous black spots along the bottom edge. Females are dark brown with orange spots at the edges.

Monarch Butterfly
Name “monarch” was first published in 1874 by Samuel H. Scudder because “it is one of the largest of our butterflies, and rules a vast domain”;[11] however, the name may be in honour of King William III of England. Its wings feature an easily recognizable orange and black pattern, Female monarchs have darker veins on their wings, and the males have a spot called the androconium in the center of each hind wing.
